Max Launches in the US, Combining HBO Max and Discovery+ Content for Ultimate Streaming Experience

Max, the new streaming service featuring the HBO Max content library along with select additions from Discovery+, has officially launched in the US.[0] It will host all HBO Max content, including HBO’s original programming, Warner Bros. films, the DC universe, the Harry Potter universe and more, alongside select Discovery+ content, such as HGTV, Food Network, Discovery Channel, TLC, ID and Magnolia Network. Max will remain the online destination for HBO's original shows, Warner Bros. movies, Max's own productions, the DC universe, the enchanting realm of Harry Potter, Adult Swim, and Cartoon Network. On top of that, it will add shows from HGTV, Food Network, Discovery Channel, TLC, ID, Magnolia Network and more.[0] Existing HBO Max subscribers that subscribe through HBO will have access to Max at the same price as their HBO Max subscription. Max offers two subscription tiers, Max Ad-Free for $15.99 per month or $149.99 per year, and Max Ultimate Ad-Free for $19.99 per month or $199.99 per year, which offers four concurrent streams, 4K Ultra HD resolution, 100 offline downloads and immersive audio with Dolby Atmos, with potential restrictions in some content categories.[1] The service will also offer over 1,000 films and episodes in 4K UHD, an increase of nearly eightfold over what has been available in HBO Max.[2] Max is currently only available in the US, but there are plans to launch Max in more countries, including Latin America and the Caribbean, by the end of the year, and in Europe and South East Asia in 2024.[3]
