The Mandalorian Season 3: An Epic Journey of Redemption, Power, and Adventure
Disney+ is premiering the much-anticipated third season of The Mandalorian on March 3rd.[0] The highly-acclaimed Star Wars series follows the adventures of Din Djarin, a Mandalorian bounty hunter, and his young companion Grogu—better known as Baby Yoda. The series has already seen plenty of action, but the new season is poised to be the most thrilling yet.
The Mandalorian season 3 kicks off with Din Djarin and Grogu traveling to Nevarro in search of a dangerous droid, IG-11 (voiced by Taika Waititi), that he can trust to accompany him on his mission to redeem himself on Mandalore. During the journey, Grogu sees something extraordinary: the space whales known as purrgil. These creatures, first introduced in Star Wars Rebels, can naturally travel through hyperspace, and their appearance in the show is a nod to their importance in the Star Wars universe.[1]
Also in the mix is Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), a former leader of the Mandalorian people who lost her followers when she failed to claim the Darksaber in honorable combat.[2] Bo-Katan is bitter about the divisions among her people, and she challenges Din to use the Darksaber to win back the support of her former allies.[3]
In addition to all of this, the episode introduces a new character, Gorian Shard, a pirate king of some renown.[4] Not much is known about him yet, but it's clear that he commands a large crew and a fleet of fighters.[5]
With Din Djarin’s quest for redemption, Bo-Katan’s search for power, and the mysterious Gorian Shard’s presence, The Mandalorian season 3 is sure to be an action-packed and thrilling ride.
