Tom Sandoval Apologizes to Ex-Girlfriend Ariana Madix After Split
Tom Sandoval, one of the stars of the hit reality show Vanderpump Rules, recently released a statement apologizing to his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Madix, following their split.[0] In the statement, which was posted to Instagram, Sandoval admitted to making mistakes, being selfish, and making reckless decisions that hurt someone he loved.[1]
The former couple dated for nine years before the split, which was reportedly triggered by Sandoval’s affair with fellow cast member, Raquel Leviss.[2] The situation was complicated by the fact that Leviss had sent legal letters to some of the other cast members regarding an explicit video recorded without her permission.[3] Additionally, Maloney and Schwartz’s on-camera fights this year have been about her asking him not to embarrass her and him continuing to do so.[4]
In order to address his mistakes, Sandoval said he is speaking to a counselor and has been learning things about himself, such as his patterns of codependency and addiction to being and feeling loved. He also said he has been taking steps to understand his behavior and make healthier choices.[5]
Leviss also released a statement of her own, in which she said she has experienced physical assault, lost friendships, received death threats and hate emails, in addition to having had her privacy violated.
