Tom Sizemore, Iconic Actor and Troubled Soul, Passes Away at 61

Tom Sizemore, the actor known for his roles in Saving Private Ryan. and Natural Born Killers, as well as his drug and domestic abuse issues, has passed away at the age of 61.[0] His manager Charles Lago confirmed in a statement to Fox News Digital that Sizemore died peacefully in his sleep at St Joseph’s Hospital Burbank.[0] His brother Paul and twins Jayden and Jagger (17) were at his side.[1]

Sizemore had been in critical condition since February 18, when he suffered a brain aneurysm at his Los Angeles home.[0] Doctors informed his family that there was “no further hope” and recommended “end of life decision”, according to a statement from Lago.[2]

Sizemore had a long history of substance abuse and legal troubles, including a 2003 conviction for domestic abuse against his then-girlfriend, Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.[3] He also faced sexual assault allegations by an 11-year-old girl in 2003, which were later dismissed.

Tom Sizemore's career commenced in 1989, with him having a minor role in Oliver Stone's Born On The Fourth Of July.[4] He starred in such movies as Harley Davidson And The Marlboro Man, True Romance, Heat, and Pearl Harbor, among others.[5] On television, he had roles in Robbery Homicide Division, Entourage, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Shooter, and, perhaps most notably, Twin Peaks: The Return.[5]

The role of Sgt. Mike Horvath in the World War II movie “Saving Private Ryan.” has made him one of the most recognizable names.[6] Sizemore was married to actress Maeve Quinlan from 1996-99 and was linked romantically over the years to the likes of Sharon Stone and Elizabeth Hurley.[7] He had a passionate affair with ex-Hollywood mistress Heidi Fleiss.[8] He shares his sons, twins Jayden and Jagger, with Janelle McIntire.[9]

Maeve Quinlan said in a statement, “My heartfelt condolences to the entire Sizemore family and Tom’s long-time manager, Charles Lago.[10] Most especially, my thoughts and prayers go out to Tom’s two sons, Jayden and Jagger.[10] May God hold you both in the palm of his hand, give you strength and bless you all the days of your lives.[11]
