Vanderpump Rules Stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix Reportedly Split After Cheating Scandal
Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix, stars of the popular reality TV show Vanderpump Rules, have reportedly split after almost ten years together.[0] The couple’s break-up follows allegations that Sandoval had been cheating on Madix with fellow cast member Raquel Leviss.[1]
TMZ reported the split on Friday, March 3, with sources claiming that Madix had found out about the alleged affair with Leviss after discovering an inappropriate video on Sandoval’s phone that night.[2] According to People, Madix had been supporting Sandoval at a show for his band, Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras, when she saw the video pop up and realized how long the affair had been going on.[3]
Madix reportedly called Leviss later that night and confronted her, to which Leviss reportedly confirmed the affair. A source told People that Madix was “completely blindsided by this; devastated doesn’t even scratch the surface of how she feels.”[4]
A source close to production also told Page Six that Madix felt “gaslit” after Sandoval allegedly tried to explain away his cheating by saying he was worried about her mental health after her grandmother passed away last year.[0]
On Saturday, TMZ also reported that Sandoval had asked fans to show his businesses some grace in a statement. He apologized to his partners and employees who “have to suffer for my actions,” and announced that he would be taking a step back and taking a hiatus to address everything else.[5]
The cheating scandal has been further complicated by an interesting detail from the Watch What Happens Live taping on the same night as the confrontation.[6] Host Andy Cohen recalled a game he had been playing with Leviss and Scheana Shay called the BFF test, where he asked them both who was the cuter Tom: Sandoval or Schwartz.[7] Both Leviss and Shay answered Sandoval, leading Cohen to look up and say, “Oh, you said Sandoval.”
It’s not clear what will happen with the couple going forward, but Vanderpump Rules airs new episodes on Wednesdays at 9 p.m.[8] Brav[9] Fans can also catch up with past episodes by streaming them on a Peacock subscription.[8]
