Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge’s Star-Studded French Riviera Wedding: A Recap
Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge have tied the knot in a luxurious wedding extravaganza in the French Riviera.[0] The couple, who got engaged in April 2022, celebrated their nuptials with a star-studded guest list that included Sofia's older sister Nicole Richie and her husband Joel Madden, Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden, Paris Hilton and Carter Reum, and more.[1] The bride wore three custom Chanel haute couture dresses throughout the weekend, including a floor-length gown designed with beaded fringe and a tier silhouette for the rehearsal dinner, a delicate gown with iridescent white sequins and a criss-cross neckline for the ceremony, and a two-piece minidress set for the after-party. Sofia's wedding-weekend wardrobe also included earrings made by her sister Nicole Richie.[2]
Richie explained that while she originally envisioned wearing a big princess dress, she realized she wanted something simpler as she got older, though her dress was anything but simple.[3] She also converted to Judaism ahead of the ceremony, and her father Lionel Richie, who is a frequent collaborator and friend of Elliot's father, Sir Lucian Grainge, expressed his love for the groom, saying, “I've known him since he was 12.
